                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED at 607
                   CHEROKEE BOULEVARD, BEING ON THE NORTHEAST LINE
                   OF CHEROKEE BOULEVARD AT BLACK STREET, FROM R-2
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE AND C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL
                   ZONE TO C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL ZONE,
                   SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 607 Cherokee Boulevard,
                being on the northeast line of Cherokee Boulevard
                at Black Street.  Lot 1, Shipley's Division, as
                shown by plat of record in plat book 42, page 162,
                ROHC; being the property described in deed book
                4594, page 357, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 135C-C-14.
               
               
         from R-2 Residential Zone and C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone 
to
         C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone.
        
              SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 
shall
         be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Landscape conditions (attached);
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         provided by law.
